Adult Choir

Contribute to First Unitarian’s spiritual experience through song. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm.

Adult Religious Education ~ Denver Center For Spiritual Renewal

Participate in classes and workshops that support growth of self and community, explore UU heritage, faith, values and human potential. Share your skills and insights with others by offering a class of your own. View catalog and register at www.DenverCSR.org or call 303 759-2770 ext 35.

Bibliogours

Book club, discussion and dinner group. Meets monthly on Saturday mornings.

Children’s Choir

Encourage your kids to share their talents in song. Meets Sundays at between services.

CORE Circles (Creative Open Religious Exploration)

Join other Unitarian Universalists in monthly small group meetings at people’s homes to support, learn and share spiritual struggles and growth.

Craft Group

An informal group meeting weekly for friendship and handy-work (or sometimes just chatting! Meets on Wednesday mornings.

DUFS (Dudes United in Friendship and Spirituality)

A small group of men who meet twice monthly for companionship and spiritual exploration.

Hearthstone

In the broadest terms, Wicca is an Earth-Centered polytheistic religion that believes in the magic of using one's will to change one's surroundings. Performs rituals on the Friday of or Friday before the Full Moon, presented by different groups within the Denver Pagan community. Visit www.hearthstone.fnorky.com for more information.

Insight Meditation

Part of the larger Insight Meditation Movement, this group typically involves 45 minutes of Vipassana (mindfulness) meditation, followed by a dharma talk and discussion by an area teacher. Meets Sunday evenings.

Karate

Study traditional karate forms, Kojosho forms (based on 9 animals and 9 elements) and self-defense. The discipline and spiritual aspects associated with martial arts are also part of our class. Laughter Yoga Club

Laughter is an efficient and effective way to release tension in a positive way and is proven to relieve stress. Join this group in a weekly session involving laughter exercises and breathing techniques. Meets Mondays at noon.

Men’s Fellowship

A community open to all men in the larger First Unitaring community that examines men's personal and spiritual growth through discussions of recent movies, family relationships, and listening to each other's life stories. Meets on the 3rd Monday of the month.

Miriam's Book Table

New Genesis Cooking

Prepare and serve a meal to the residents of New Genesis, a transitional shelter for men. Meets on the 3rd Saturday of the month.

Path To Membership

A single, 4-hour session held on Saturday mornings for persons exploring Unitarian Universalism. Examines our religious journeys, what it means to have a religion without a creed, the origins, history, and themes of liberal religion, UU Principles and Purposes, and the nature and possibilities of covenant. Learn about our congregation's vision, our programs, and the meaning of membership. Presented three or four times per year and presented by the Minister and other members of the congregation.

Shamanic Drumming

A monthly shamanic journeying group, whose purpose is to engage in journeys and ceremonies of personal spiritual expression. Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month. No experience necessary!

Women’s Spirit Circles

We have two groups dedicated to exploring connections, developing a feminine voice, and building individual and collective spiritual paths. Meets twice monthly on Tuesday evenings.

Young Adult Group

A diverse group of adults ages 18–38 experiencing, sharing, and exploring life through a UU perspective. Regular events include monthly Sunday brunches and social groups. Keep up on their many activities by subscribing to the FUSD-YA listserv.
