Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees consists of nine members elected by the members of the Society. Trustees must be members of the Society, and ordinarily will have been members for at least two years. The terms of office for elected Trustees is three years and no Trustee will serve more than six consecutive years.
Generally, the essential responsibilities of the Board of Trustees are to
- promote and exhibit leadership,
- establish and define policies, and
- govern the Society accordingly.
General responsibilities include long term planning for all
- programs
- physical plant and
- members
of the Society.
The powers of the Board of Trustees include the oversight of the ministerial and business affairs of the Society, the management of the Society’s finances and property, and the supervision of the administration of the Society. The Board of Trustees maintains overall responsibility for the expenditure of funds within the total annual budget.
Regular meetings of the Board of Trustees are held monthly.
