Text of Selected Sermons

We are now recording all of our services. Listen to all of this church year's services.

Warm greetings,

Unitarian Universalism stands proudly in the liberal religious tradition, a diverse community of spiritual seekers who believe that the real test of authentic religion lies in its ability to inspire love and justice, nothing less. Our roots date back to the Protestant Reformation, deeply informed by the Jewish and Christian traditions, yet differing in several significant ways.

We believe that religious wisdom is ever-changing, and that the human understanding of life and death, the world and its mysteries is never final. The universe is not yet finished, and neither are we.

We affirm the inherent worth and dignity of all women and men, adhere to the democratic process, and support a free and responsible search for truth and meaning. Our congregational life is characterized by acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth. We celebrate the unfolding truths as passed on from the great prophets, sages, and spiritual teachers of the ages, and are not bound by an unchanging statement of belief. As people who are spiritually alive, radically inclusive, and oriented to justice, we take our place in a long and noble tradition of standing up for religious freedom, advocating for religious tolerance, and for responsible social engagement.

All people of good will are invited to join us on this great journey of the mind, the heart, and the spirit.

Peace and Blessings,
Rev. Mike Morran
