Social Action Council
The goal of the Social Action Council is to implement the vision and missions of FUSD Church and the values of Unitarian Universalism through participation in community activities that promote social justice and help our neighbors in need.
The Social Action Council is chaired by Randle Loeb. Please contact him if you have any questions about this site. The address is RandleLoeb@gmail.com.
Current Social Action Priorities

Colorado will likely be facing an anti-gay marriage ballot measure in November of 2006. For more info contact Lewis Thompson, chair at Ljt236@aol.com.
- Interfaith Hospitality Network – FUSD is part of an interfaith network of churches that house families in transition within the church building for a week at a time. - New Genesis Homeless Program– The church has for several years been supporting New Genesis in a variety of ways, particularly through FUSD volunteers cooking and serving a monthly meal on Saturday evenings. To volunteer, contact coordinator Mary Kay Myers at myerscaldwell@earthlink.net.
- Providing Food Bags for the Homeless – FUSD volunteers, especially our youth, make food bags of a meal that are then sold to congregational members and others for $3 and are given out to people asking for money on the street.
